At Active Medical we are passionate about helping families to live happy healthy lives and are always looking for new ways to better support the local community. Our team share these values and strive for excellence in care.

Australia is expecting to see an increase in the rate of newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers. This means more families in need of support and guidance with their health and well being.

In response, we have created an exciting new position for a Medical Receptionist to play a pivotal role in our newly created Extended Hours Refugee Health Initiative. This role would suit an experienced Medical Receptionist who is self motivated, enthusiastic and looking for career development and growth.

Do you have what it takes?

This position would suit a highly organised and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist who has a genuine interest in refugee health. An empathetic approach to patient care is needed alongside the confidence to coordinate care and work collaboratively with a broad range of health professionals.

As the first point of contact, the right applicant will have a friendly and caring demeanour with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. This role will involve providing the highest quality service for patients from all backgrounds and work with the team to proactively coordinate care and seek positive health outcomes for all.

This is a new approach to Refugee Health through an Extended Hours clinic and will require someone to work with the team using new systems and procedures and be available on evenings, weekends and public holidays.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have experience in GP Reception, given its complicated and confidential nature and dependence on medical software.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Bilingual Arabic Speaking
  • Experience with Medical Director and Pracsoft

If this innovative and exciting role is of interest to you we encourage you to apply.
